BRITISH COLUMBIA CANADIAN PAVILLION at 2008 BEIJING OLYMPICS

British Columbia Canadian Pavilion - 2008 Beijing Olympics

In 2007, SG-[010] Productions was hired as the long-term local project co-coordinator to put in motion, the British Columbia Pavilion in Beijing, during the 2008 Olympics.

SG-[010] Productions coordinated liaisons between B.C. project partners in Canada, local 3rd parties, and the Canadian Embassy to begin production on the project. Once work on the project began, SG010 put together a comprehensive 6 month Admin and Operational Support Plan, which included local strategic planning, staff hiring and training, crisis management, critical path management, equipment hire, welcome kits, design and production of collateral whilst maintaining excellent relations with local government officials.

With the unique combination of a Canadian background with Chinese experience and our invaluable organizational capabilities, we were able to establish a good footing for the B.C. Canada Pavilion in developing and strengthening ongoing relationships in China.

2008 Beijing Olympics Hospitality Services

In the summer of 2007 SG-[010] Productions launched Gold Medal Tours (GMT), a hospitality division providing consultation, planning and logistical assistance to Olympic sponsors, media, and corporate clients.

GMT provided a bridge for over 20 international clients, including the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Irish Olympic Council, Sports Canada, Culinary Capers and Channel 9 Australia. Client needs’ were tailored individually to meet their specific needs. Services included long term accommodation, transportation, guides, equipment rental, translators and much more.

By offering 24hr consultation, support and management, SG010 helped its clients navigate through the challenges surrounding the games whilst making the 2008 Beijing Olympics unforgettable.

Northern House at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics

Northern House - 2010 Vancouver Olympics

In 2009, SG-[010] Productions, in collaboration with Finley Management, developed the entire Administrative plan for the Northern House Pavilion which focused on and displayed art, culture and heritage from Canada’s three Territories.

SG-[010] Productions provided local staff in Vancouver over a period of 6 months to coordinate liaisons between Northern House and 3rd parties such as building management and construction contractors.

SG010’s experience during the 2008 Olympics was put to good use for the Northern House Pavilion. The Pavilion stayed away from major hurdles and was seen as one of the most successful pavilions during the Games.
